Roles & Responsibilities

• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement by promoting best practices, conducting regular safety audits, and providing ongoing training and development opportunities for all team members.
• Provide strategic leadership and direction for all aspects of aggregates production, including quarry operations, safety protocols, product inventory management, and distribution logistics.
• Collaborate closely with parallel business units, including Ready Mix, Trucking and Construction, to ensure seamless integration of aggregates production processes and optimize resource utilization across the organization.
• Develop and implement operational strategies and best practices to enhance productivity, minimize costs, and maximize profitability while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
• Oversee the development and execution of short-term and long-term production plans to meet customer demand projections and achieve business targets.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize equipment utilization, minimize downtime, and streamline production processes to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and safety regulations governing aggregates production operations.
• Lead and develop area managers in supporting, guiding, and developing a high-performing team of site leaders and operators, providing mentorship, coaching, and performance feedback to drive employee engagement, retention, and professional growth.

Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in aggregates production, quarry operations, or related field, with a proven track record of leadership and operational excellence.- Strong understanding of aggregates production processes, equipment, and industry best practices, with a focus on safety, quality, and environmental stewardship.- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans, manage complex projects, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to achieve business objectives.- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization.- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and cost management, with a focus on optimizing operational performance and maximizing profitability.Req #: 524Nearest Major Market: Salt Lake CityFind similar jobs:Summit Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
