Job Purpose
The Director of Corporate Relations and Partnerships is a member of the Museum\xe2\x80\x99s Institutional Advancement (IA) team. This position is responsible for meeting the Museum\xe2\x80\x99s annual goals for corporate support, including corporate sponsorships, partnerships, and in-kind contributions. This position serves as the primary relationship manager for the Museum\xe2\x80\x99s portfolio of corporations, CEOs, and executives. The Director of Corporate Relations and Partnerships will work with the Vice President of Advancement and Marketing Communications and other IA Directors to develop and carry out strategies for corporate fundraising, partnerships, and will develop and oversee the Museum\xe2\x80\x99s Corporate Partnership Program.
Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop the strategic plan for the Corporate Relations program, including identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of all corporate sponsors, donors, and partners.
• Oversee and grow the corporate partnership program.
• Solicit corporate sponsorship for exhibitions, education programs, collections, research, special projects, and campaign support.
• Identify emerging business leadership and industry trends with a special emphasis on developing high value-exchange corporate alliances leading to five figure or better philanthropic commitments.
• Work with board members to identify corporate relationships and support their solicitation efforts.
• Collaborate with staff across the museum to identify high impact corporate partnership opportunities and leverage corporate engagement to accomplish shared revenue goals, build audience, and promote Museum programs and exhibitions.
• Serves as one of the Museum\xe2\x80\x99s professional representatives in the community. Help maintain the Museum\xe2\x80\x99s presence with key local, national, and international corporate decision makers and stakeholders.
• Collect data and conduct research to build the ALTRU database of corporate prospects and partners.
• Build an online presence for Museum corporate partnerships.
• Work closely with public programs, events, and exhibits teams to leverage underwriting opportunities.
• Represent the Museum at corporate and civic events in the city and region.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree required.
• Five years fundraising or related corporate experience required.
• Proven experience and success in securing five-figure corporate sponsorships and commitments.
• Familiarity with Honolulu\xe2\x80\x99s corporate business community preferred.
• Prior work in a museum, cultural, education, or science organization preferred.

• Must have own car with proof of insurance and valid Hawai\xe2\x80\x98i Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License.
