We are in search of an experienced Director of Demand Generation who possesses a well-rounded background and expertise in the realm of SaaS/ software/ technology. Any prior involvement with startups and software firms would be a significant advantage. The role of the Director of Demand Generation Marketing entails leading the B2B marketing unit responsible for conceiving, strategizing, executing, and evaluating comprehensive marketing campaigns aimed at generating qualified sales opportunities. In your capacity as the Director of B2B Demand Generation Marketing, you will be responsible for shaping campaign strategies to drive customer acquisition and expansion. This will involve overseeing a team of marketers tasked with implementing these campaign strategies. Our client is based in the SF Bay Area, however, this role is offered remotely.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the implementation of digital marketing initiatives across diverse channels, including webinars, events, social media, partnerships, email, SEO, SEM, display advertising, retargeting, and content syndication. These initiatives are designed to consistently produce a stream of marketing-qualified leads for the Sales Development Representative (SDR) team, in line with growth objectives.
Collaborate with the sales team to formulate programs that not only generate fresh demand but also nurture existing deals through Account Based Marketing (ABM).
Work alongside the product marketing and content units to generate compelling content and offerings targeted at our client\'s various personas. Ensure that the programs address the needs and pain points of our intended customers, effectively utilizing appropriate messaging.
Coordinate with the design and content teams to create visually captivating assets, such as videos, guides, and infographics.
Develop sophisticated email nurture flows to engage and qualify captured leads, converting them into marketing-qualified leads (MQLs).
Collaborate with the client\'s sales development representatives (SDR) team to prioritize, evaluate, and score leads, while also supporting SDR nurture programs.
Take ownership of quarterly and annual demand generation targets. Monitor and manage program budgets and schedules to ensure plans are optimized for program efficiency. This includes driving enhancements, fostering innovation, and meeting the company\'s goals for pipeline growth.
Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to enable our client to measure, refine, and concentrate on demand generation activities.
Communicate outcomes to the team and employ these insights to guide future strategies. Take charge of the marketing automation platform and processes that facilitate lead nurturing and passage to the sales team.
Gain a deep understanding of our client\'s target customer segments, their business requirements, and the competitive landscape. Identify opportunities to bolster our client\'s competitive distinctiveness through campaigns.
Manage regular "pipeline council" sessions connecting Marketing and Sales to proactively address any gaps.
Requirements:
At least 8 years of marketing and/or demand generation experience, preferably within a B2B SaaS/ software/ technology company.
Demonstrated track record of taking ownership of numerical targets and achieving them within a high-growth environment.
Proficiency in marketing automation and marketing operations, ideally using platforms such as HubSpot, Marketo, Salesforce.com, and Google Analytics.
Over 4 years of people management experience, displaying a passion for nurturing and developing talent. An MBA in marketing or a business-related discipline.
Collaborative team player who thrives in fast-paced settings with rapidly changing priorities.
Strong analytical skills, with a keen focus on tracking and enhancing KPIs related to performance, and the ability to apply insights for program optimization.
Innovative thinker comfortable introducing novel ideas that drive high-quality pipeline growth.

Capacity to engage with individuals at all levels of the organization, including the client\'s CEO and executive team.
Familiarity with project-related budget management and the ability to monitor campaign performance and expenditures.

Highly effective communicator possessing exceptional emotional intelligence, capable of working effectively within the marketing team, as well as with sales, SDR, customer success, and other departments.
Comp: $105,000-$200,000 (base, depending on experience)
