Job Description

Arbor Montessori School is seeking a Director of Development. The Director will:

Foster an environment where philanthropy is a shared value, and all stakeholders understand why giving matters and how it impacts the school community. Be clear and transparent about the gap between tuition and the actual cost of education. Proactively develop and nurture relationships to ensure the entire school community feels invested in Arbor's success and future. Expand the annual fund by increasing participation and giving across all constituencies. Play a leadership role in planning and executing Arbor's upcoming capital campaign. Develop and continue opportunities for alumni to share their positive experiences at Arbor, volunteer their time and expertise, serve as ambassadors and role models for current students, and support fundraising efforts. Coordinate with the Head of School to cultivate and further enhance key relationships with major donors and prospects, corporate foundations and community leaders.
Qualifications

A bachelor's degree is required; a master's degree is preferred. CFRE certification is a plus. Candidates should have at least three years of progressively responsible experience in development, including donor cultivation, major gifts, corporate/foundation relations, annual and planned giving, and working with non-profit boards and high net worth individuals.
