Director of Emergency Services - Ocala, FL

• Location: Ocala, Florida
• Job Type: Permanent Contingent

Salary: $97,801 - $127,150+ depending on experience. 15-22.5% bonus potential. Sign On and Relocation: Case by Case.

Report to: VP Emergency Services

Overview:

HCA Florida Ocala Hospital, a 288-bed facility located in the heart of Ocala, Florida is seeking a Director of Emergency Services. We are committed to patient-centered care and offer a host of quality and award-winning services including orthopedic, cardiovascular, emergency, and neurological care, robotic and weight loss surgery, and rehabilitation services. Our facility is a Level II Trauma Center and the region\'s only Comprehensive Stroke Center.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring consistent high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department
• Accurately identifying real/potential problems affecting the service and implementing solutions
• Advancing the patient experience agenda in the Emergency Department
• Coaching immediate subordinates providing feedback; constructive critique of work
• Effectively communicating departmental, organization and industry information to staff
• Facilitating evidence-based employee engagement practices
• Participating in employee and patient rounding and identify and mentor potential future leaders
• Enforcing standards of emergency department care and developing processes to measure and ensure consistent compliance
• Monitoring compliance with regulatory, accrediting and hospital policy for patient services, and environmental and personnel safety
• Overseeing a PI program that consistently monitors and evaluates critical aspects of care
• Supporting the recruitment process to secure staffing talent

Qualifications:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Nursing required. Master\'s degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field preferred
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state of practice required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC), Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• 3+ years of experience in emergency services required. 3+ years of experience in a leadership role preferred or equivalent combination of education and/or experience

About the Hospital:

Our community hospital consists of 198 beds, with a non-trauma center. Our ED consists of 31 beds + 6 vertical spaces and a separate quick care area open from 10a-10p, with the Director overseeing these. Our facility sees approximately 98 patients a day, with a strong leadership team in place.
