job summary:
Our client located in Chino CA, a leading manufacturer of mechanical building products is looking for a Director of Engineering. The role develops and recommends the organization\'s strategic and long-range goals based on analysis and studies of business conditions from an engineering perspective. Strategic oriented role.

responsibilities:
-Responsible for leading the organization in research for new products, product enhancements and product redesign. Evaluates the potential and practicality of product in development and relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

- Originate new products in concert with customer needs and business model. Selects correct design concepts and fundamental technology used for new products or improvement for existing ones.

- Develops and implements methods and procedures for monitoring projects such as records of expenditures and research findings, progress reports, in order to inform management status of each project.

- Negotiates contracts with suppliers/consulting firms to perform research or other applicable studies or support.

Work with leaders in project management and operations to ensure strategic business plans are successfully executed in the workplace.
