Job Description

Pursuing Academics and Character Together (PACT) Charter School, a Minnesota K-12 public charter school, has an opening for a Director of Food Service for the 23/24 school year. This is a school year position.

Summary: The Director of Food Services will oversee the daily operations of the food services program. Supervises and coordinates activities involved in serving meals to students, employees of PACT Charter School according to federal guidelines. Accurately records meal information to the state.

Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Formal Education and Experience Requirement: ( At least one of these qualifications)

• Bachelor\'s degree, or equivalent educational experience, with an academic major in a specific area(1)*
• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree, or equivalent educational experience, with any academic major or area of concentration, and either a School Nutrition Association (SNA) Level 3 Certification or at least one year of relevant food service experience(2)*
• Associate\xe2\x80\x99s degree or equivalent educational experience, with an academic major in a specific area(1)* and one year of relevant food service experience(2)*
• High school diploma (or GED) and a minimum of three years of relevant food service experience(2)*

*1 - Specific academic majors include Food and Nutrition, Food Service Management, Dietetics, Family and Consumer Science, Nutrition Education, Culinary Arts and Business.

*2 - Relevant food service experience may include managing food service operations at a healthcare facility, restaurant, civic/community organization, or other type of establishment; this may include documented volunteer or unpaid relevant food service experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• Certification as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), Nutrition and Dietetics Technician, Registered (NDTR), or similar credentials highly preferred.
• Must hold a State of Minnesota Food Manager Certificate

Start date: Immediate
Hours: 7-3:30 on student contact days
Pay is dependent upon experience. Range $18.00 - $22.00
$2000.00 sign-on bonus. Paid: $500 in December 2023, $500 in March 2024, and $1000 in June 2024

The PACT campus is located in the 420 acre COR Development and next to Ramsey\xe2\x80\x99s newest park, The Draw, which includes an amphitheater, water feature, farmer\'s market, concerts, and other community events. Many parks and an extensive trail system are readily accessible and connected by a network of trails that link The COR to the regional parks and trail system. Many people have chosen to live in Ramsey because of its rural character, wetlands, wildlife, and housing choices. U.S. Highways 10/169 and State Highway 47 are two main routes. Northstar Commuter Rail stops in Ramsey and runs to and from downtown Minneapolis.
