Position: Director of Media Relations and Corporate Communications

Reports to: Chief Revenue Officer (CRO)

Work Location: 2103 Citywest Blvd., Houston, Texas 77042 (This is a 5-day a week on-site position with no options for remote working.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

This is an exceptional opportunity for the newly created Director of Media Relations and Corporate Communications position.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As the Director of Media Relations and Corporate Communications, you will be a team of one, responsible for setting the bar, helping to establish the brand, and drive the inspiration of PCS onto an international stage. You will lead and unify all communications for PCS through network, print, social, presentation, via all analog and digital means. As the leader of Media Relations and Corporate Communications, you will manage media relations, develop messaging for the C-suite executives, create strategic content for external distribution, and establish a media platform by which the PCS brand will be recognized by 4 of 5 companies in our target market.

The Director of Media Relations and Corporate Communications will be tasked with expanding and automating a media network to support PCS Software\'s rapid growth and scale. Working with internal subject matter experts and senior executives, including the CEO and CRO, the media and communications department will interact with media covering the company while creating content that supports the company\'s vision, values, and strategic goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION INCLUDE:

• Media planning, purchasing, and communications.
• Establish PCS brand as known and preferred by 80% of PCS\' Target Market.
• Establish C-suite communication tracts within their functional market segments.
• Coordinate media events, surveys, and forums for PCS market messaging.
• Coordinate, write, and deliver press releases, talking points, and presentation materials.
• Work with the Marketing team to develop on-point content, messaging, and materials.
• As the brand ambassador ensure absolute consistency across all mediums and messaging.
• Oversee media and digital content strategy for company hosted and participated events.
• Travel as necessary to trade shows, events, and association meetings in support of the PCS brand.
• Monitor, facilitate, and further PCS access into the international supply chain logistics market.
• Manage and coordinate all medial related webinars.

SUCCESS CRITERIA:

• Establish PCS as a known Brand in 80%+ of all surveyed Target Market prospects.
• Established experience in national and international media, agencies, and PR networks.
• Cultural fit / High EQ: Ability to work well with the PCS Leadership Team.
• Implement constructive changes as needed.
• SaaS software industry experience preferred.
• Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) / Logistics or FreightTech preferred.
• Demonstrated track record of identifying, sourcing, managing, and delivering world-class media content to further a known brand.
• Undergraduate business degree in Marketing or Public Relations is required, MBA preferred.
