As the Director of People and Culture at bread & Butter, you\'ll oversee HR functions, including compensation, benefits, performance management, and employee engagement. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that HR initiatives align with our culture and values while proactively addressing compliance matters. Serving as a liaison between employees and the C-level team, you\'ll report directly to the President.

We\'re looking for a Director of People and Culture to lead our HR team, focusing on employee performance, compliance, and company culture. Ideal candidates are strategic thinkers with strong leadership skills and deep knowledge of employment compliance. In this role, you\'ll shape our culture, manage performance, and maintain our reputation as an employer of choice. Join us in creating a thriving and compliant workplace.

Here\xe2\x80\x99s What We Need:

  • High School Diploma required, Bachelor\'s Degree preferred and/or 10+ years of relative experience
  • Leads teams by example, showcasing professionalism, punctuality and problem solving while maintaining a sense of humor.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including ADA, EEO, and Affirmative Action Planning, and proactively address HR-related compliance matters. Actively seek and participate in workshops and webinars related to federal and state employment laws and talent acquisition.
  • Collaborate with Directors to stay informed about employee-related matters, manage employee grievances, and oversee legally compliant investigations and terminations.
  • Manage compensation changes, starting salaries, and salary reviews in coordination with Operations & Finance and the CEO.
  • Oversee the progressive discipline process to foster continuous performance improvement, working closely with managers.
  • Celebrate and announce milestones and promotions through appropriate channels, enhancing our employer brand.
  • Ensure smooth new hire onboarding and identify and facilitate management training and professional development opportunities.
  • Oversee interoffice communication related to employee relations and company culture, and develop and lead culture programming. Audit documentation for branding and language consistency, and maintain a master calendar with important dates.
  • Adaptable to a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a passion for innovation and growth.
  • Adept at fostering creative partnerships, with a keen enthusiasm for innovation and growth.
