What you can expect to do: Sales
Lead all Sales and Marketing initiatives required to ensure Group Sales, Individual Business Transients, Leisure, and International market opportunities are maximized for the property.
Enthusiastically lead and motivate the sales team to ensure all business objectives are met or exceeded.
Strategically deploy the sales team and hold them accountable for the creation of quarterly SMART plans with defined strategies, actions, and measurable goals.
Develop and maintain a departmental budget and oversee the incentive plan for the sales team
Oversee and actively participate in soliciting key corporate transient accounts, conference/convention business, and high-profile social catering opportunities.
Ability to set key prospecting targets and uncover new channels of business for the hotel
Be an integral part of all aspects of securing business for the hotel: lead distribution, client engagement, site inspections, proposals, and contracting.
Develop and maintains client files, and ensure proper use of Delphi and all related sales databases and lead logs.
Create and audit sales proposals and contracts to protect hotel objectives.
Review and approval all sales contracts by ensuring proper proposals are extended with the proper rate, space ratio, concessions, and deposit schedules.
Attend sales trips and conferences as needed throughout the year
Marketing
Create and drive the long-term marketing initiatives and strategies of the hotel and spa.
Create and implement the annual marketing plan for the hotel and all of its outlets
Drive brand standards in all aspects of the hotel operations
Work hand in hand with our corporate marketing and PR partners on key initiatives for the hotel
Be an active Ambassador for the hotel by promoting the brand through networking and various other opportunities around the city and country.
Actively leverage third party marketing affiliation to maximize exposure and business channels for the hotel. (Preferred Hotels)
Revenue Management
Strong revenue management background - analytical/fully understands profitability of all revenue channels and market segments
Ability to utilize various systems and yield management tools (PMS, Delphi, Duetto, STR, etc)
Drive the proper yield and selling guidelines with all areas of the hotel (Rooms and Events) to effectively maximize all revenue streams.
Engage and define areas of opportunity to yield the greatest return. Be active in the prospecting & selling process across Sales, Events, and Event Services.
Help guide the hotel to maximize all booking channels and understand brand placement on various platforms. (OTAs, Amex, Virtuoso, Preferred, etc.\xe2\x80\xa6)
Actively looks at various strategies to grow market share in each comp set.
Does regular audits of our rate and selling strategies to ensure they are always current with market demands

Have a bachelor\'s degree in marketing, sales, business administration, related field, or equivalent experience required.
Preferred candidate possesses a minimum of 5 years of previous Director of Sales or Marketing or Senior Sales experience in a luxury, fast-paced environment
Have a strong Revenue Management background. Candidate must be analytical and fully understand the profitability of all Revenue Channels and Market Segments (Group, Business Transient, and Leisure)
Must present an image of excitement and enthusiasm while projecting a professional appearance and demeanor.
Are a Brand Ambassador in the community and industry
Have Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Display strong work ethic and teamwork.
Are available to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required.
