the goodtime hotel is a newly developed mixed-use project designed Morris Adjmi and Ken Fulk offering over 45,000 SF of ground floor and retail opportunities in the heart of Miami Beach. The modern, expansive storefronts can accommodate configurations ranging from 500 to 5,000+ SF of purpose-built retail space with frontages along Washington Ave., 6th St. and 7th St. - providing unparalleled branding exposure to the millions of tourists who visit Miami each year.

Overview

This position is primarily responsible for developing and implementing a marketing communications plan designed to support brand development, hotel positioning and driving top line revenue for traditional sales segments to include but not limited to Group, Transient, and Catering. The individual is additionally responsible for staying ahead of market trends, market share movement and ongoing competitive hotel analysis, while directing the property sales teams to insure budgeted revenues are met or exceeded.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements a marketing communications plan designed to achieve the desired positioning of the hotel, as well as manage the sales & marketing budget that supports all initiatives.
  • Meet or exceed set goals & budgeted revenue targets
  • Operate the Marketing & Sales Department within established marketing and sales expense budget.
  • Act as the hotel\xe2\x80\x99s voice of the customer and communicate key issues/concerns at all levels of the organization.
  • Manage the marketing and brand agencies including public relations, social media, digital, and creative daily/weekly/monthly, ensuring objectives, strategies and road maps are executed in a timely manner.
  • Supervise, administer and ensure timely completion of all activities of the Sales Department.
  • Experience dealing with/communicating with ownership groups and asset management.
  • Fluent in reading/assimilating/using Smith Travel Research data, financial P&L, mix of sales, forecasting, group pace/position & a wide array of traditional hotel reporting.
  • Co-ordinate with Director of Revenue integrating branding efforts to e-Marketing and paid on-line advertising strategies (i.e., PPC keyword submissions, e-Blasts, eBrochures/modules, e-Proposals) throughout all other communication vehicles (social media, PR, blog content, direct mail, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful marketing strategies for individual hotels, including ROI / KPI metrics
  • Maintain an active sales solicitation program.
  • Proficient in managing/using sales automation (SALESFORCE/DELPHI) & PMS (OPERA) systems.
  • Experience working collaboratively with revenue management.
  • Well-rounded knowledge of all market segments and channel sources, as well as ability to develop a strategic plan for each.
  • Responsible for leading & driving top line revenue for traditional sales segments to include group, volume transient & catering.
  • Organize extraordinary events that will generate great press and PR.
  • Research and identify co-marketing companies that will complement the hotel brand and institute programs or events that will generate buzz.
  • Create and curate unique lifestyle programming in coordination with the hotel operations team that can be used in PR articles and social media activity.
  • Monitor in hotel Marketing and Brand Standards to ensure compliance.
  • Develop relevant promotions and packages as a result of PR and other marketing initiatives.
  • Oversee hotel photo shoots and manage photo libraries.
  • Ability to deliver strong print and collateral marketing materials
  • Create monthly reports to track the success of campaigns.
  • Create all branded presentation documents, ensuring they are in the appropriate brand format.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in marketing or communications is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in supervisory hotel marketing and/or sales role required.
  • Must be proficient in Windows/Microsoft, Spreadsheets and word processing.
Physical requirements:
  • Long hours are sometimes required.
  • Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

  • Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
  • Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
  • Must be able to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
