Director Staff Development
Job Description
Valle Verde in Santa Barbara, CA, one of many HumanGood communities named "Best Nursing Homes of 2022-2023" by U.S. News & World Report, is seeking a Director of Staff Development (DSD). The DSD effectively assesses team member training needs; plans, implements and provides in-service education and department specific new team member orientation; assists in educating and treating residents; and ensures all medical staff are trained in accordance with our \xe2\x80\x9cPhilosophy for Person-Directed Care,\xe2\x80\x9d and appropriate local, state and federal regulations.
$93,575,000 to $110,000+ per year (DOE)
Salaried Position
To be successful in the role, you would have:
- Current RN license
- Excellent clinical observation and assessment skills
- Proficient computer skills necessary to complete documentation, review electronic health records and communicate with team members.
- Minimum of two years of nursing experience or one year as a nursing supervisor
- DSD certification per state regulations
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred
- Skilled Nursing or Senior Care experience highly desirable
