Responsibilities: - Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans using dishwashers or by hand - Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas - Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pick up areas - Sweep or scrub floors - Stock supplies such as food or utensils in serving stations, cutting boards, refrigerators, or salad bars - Clean food preparation areas, facilities, or equipment - Assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks as needed Requirements: - Previous experience as a dishwasher in a restaurant, hotel, or similar environment is preferred - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously - Strong attention to detail and cleanliness - Ability to work well as part of a team and follow instructions - Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods of time - Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Skills: - Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation procedures - Familiarity with culinary terms and food preparation techniques - Understanding of basic kitchen equipment and utensils - Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area - Strong work ethic and willingness to assist with various tasks in the kitchen Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
