Dispatcher

Randall Reilly Partners is hiring Dispatchers for a well-established client, performing international freight forwarding and U.S. Customs Brokerage services. The client is looking to grow their domestic truck brokerage service by adding experienced Dispatchers to their team.

Dispatcher Job Details

• Properly follow all Company, DOT and OSHA safety procedures
• Dispatch and support drivers:

• Improve truck utilization through backhauls and managing hours of service
• Handle daily fleet operations, driver questions, maintenance issues
• Effectively plan routes for drivers to ensure efficient, timely service to customers
• Review and process paperwork; strong data entry and electronic filing skills
• Review drivers log sheet ensuring compliance with hours of service and accuracy

• Dispatcher reviews and maintains daily logs on file for 6 months for each driver
• Dispatcher ensures daily log is also filed for off duty days; weekend, holidays, vacation
• Review drivers daily inspection reports

• Dispatcher addresses service issues in a timely manner
• Dispatcher arranges preventative maintenance service accordingly
• Assist drivers with issues that may arise, making the decision to call management or customers
• Dispatcher keeps daily inspection reports on file
• Review driver trip reports for accuracy and addressing discrepancies
• Perform general office administrative duties and other duties as assigned by the manager

• Maintain reports, on time data entry, payroll, etc.
• Provide daily/weekly/monthly reports, as requested by upper management.
• Interact with customers as necessary ensuring customer satisfaction
• Schedule overflow loads with 3rd party carriers; freight brokering skills desired

• 2+ years of previous experience working as a dispatcher in the trucking industry
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong computer skills and be able to work in fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills
