Overview:Dispute Analyst Description & Duties:The Dispute Analyst is responsible for handling incoming dispute claims, investigating, and effectively processing in a timely manner in accordance with applicable network regulations. In conjunction with, ensuring service standards are met, provide support of department goals, and coordinating the reduction and control of losses.Duties may include, but are not limited to: Pay Range: USD $22.00 - USD $23.00 /Hr. Responsibilities:

  • Intake, perform analysis, and research to resolve dispute claims within required timeframes while ensuring compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
  • Professionally communicate with clients, internal partners, other financial institutions, merchants, etc. via phone, email, fax, or letter during the dispute process. Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Use sound judgment in addition to all available resources to make well-informed decisions when approving or denying a dispute.
  • Dispute Analysts need well-developed analytical and decision-making skills to research dispute claims and make accurate and appropriate decisions based on their findings.
  • This position involves time sensitive processing of work cases. The employee must have the ability to maintain effective time planning, organizational skills, and time utilization to ensure all processes are completed within timeframes.
  • Other duties as assigned by management. Must be able to come to work promptly and regularly. Must be able to take direction and work well with others. Must be able to work under the stress of deadlines. Must be able to concentrate and perform accurately. Must be able to react to change productively.

Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associatexe2x80x99s degree in business, finance, communication, marketing or related field OR 2 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in related field.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software and Internet software.
