SkillBridge participants are not eligible for compensation from Northrop Grumman, as they continue to receive military compensation and benefits as active-duty service members.Responsibilities for this internship position are:Northrop Grumman Corporation (NGC) has developed the Northrop Grumman \xe2\x80\x93 Military Internship Program (DoD SKillbridge) utilizing the DoDI guidance for Skillbridge. During this program the service member will be on-site at his or her host company performing an individual internship in an entry to mid-level career type role. The service member will be on the job training supporting a work schedule equivalent to 40hrs per week. Outlined below are the Goals, Objectives, and Outcomes for the program.Goals \xe2\x80\x93 Provide transitioning service members fellowship-style job skills training during the last portion(s) of their military commitment. This program is specifically designed to offer internships that result in the potential to transition to a full-time opportunity as the conclusion of the training. Apply the principles of engineering to design components and systems using applicable standards and specifications.
Participate in technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for mechanical, electrical and integrated systems
Perform requirements analysis, develop source data for requirements, generate test requirements and prepare test reports
Build-up/Tailoring of SOW, Assist with proposal kick-off of supplier (including baseline review)
Requirements coordination with systems engineers, specialty teams, and customer.
Verify specifications and designs through modeling and simulation, test data processing, and performance analysis
Support all phases of the systems life cycle including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal
Review customer deliverables, testing, and requirements verification. Bring technical information to boards including PERB and AERB (as applicable) for all variances, technical direction to supplier, etc.
Support pre-ship reviews and coordination with ILS group.
Maintain design documentation and follow configuration management requirements
Develop Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for the systems engineering function.
Interface with AF customer and Subcontractor.
Create Test Plans, Reports and review test data for electrical and mechanical components (including video components).

Active Secret Security Clearance.
T-03: 5 Years of relevant experience with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD.
T-04: 9 Years with Bachelors in Science; 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD
Experience with requirements analysis (including new requirements or upgraded/ modified system requirements).
Experience in technical planning, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for mechanical, electrical and integrated systems. (minimum 2 years experience)
Experience using DOD standards, including Nuclear Surety standards, Reliability, and other relevant industry standards.
