Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Dozer Operator for our Heidelberg Materials facility located in Gainesville, Georgia.

What You\'ll Get To Do

Safety

• At the start of the shift perform a pre-shift inspection.
• At the end of the shift park dozer and report defects to supervisor.
• Observe all safety precautions and rules specified by federal, state, and company regulations.
• Report unsafe conditions.
• Report accidents or incidents immediately.

Operations

• Drive the dozer in successive passes over terrain to raise or lower terrain to proper grade.
• Strips the high walls in preparation for blasts as well as drags the high walls after a blast.
• Level out crusher area, stock piles and maintain roadways as required.
• Scrape and level for loader.
• Assist in greasing, cleaning, oiling, and performing minor repairs on equipment.
• Maintain constant communication with all other operators.
• Assist other operators or maintenance personnel when heavy or awkward duties are required.
• Will work multiple shifts as needed.

What We Are Looking For

• Prefer high school diploma or general education (GED)
• Prefer five years front end loader experience
• Prefer dozer, backhoe and skid steer experience
• Prefer working knowledge of equipment operation and open pit mining
• Must be able to carry 50 pounds
