EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION AIDE
HIRING RANGE: $15- $17 HOURLY
About the Position:
Join the growing population of the City of Grand Junction as an Early Childhood Education Aide in our newly funded City Daycare Facility. We are looking for a dedicated, creative, hard-working person to join our team members that share the passion a educating our young children. Under the supervision of the Daycare Director and guidance of the Early Childhood Education Teacher, supervise and provide oversight of the childcare facility classroom while adhering to childcare standards and regulations; assist with the planning and implementation of daily classroom lesson plans; ensure a clean, safe, and supportive environment for children; communicate with parents/guardians and facility staff to improve children\'s experience and learning objectives.

About the Facility:
The City of Grand Junction is excited to be building a new Child Care Facility to meet the needs of our City\'s employees and families. This facility is currently under construction and scheduled to be open and in operation by July 1, 2022. Due to the variety of schedules our employees work, the operational hours will be Monday - Friday from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm. Members of the Child Care Facility faculty and staff will be united by a passion to ensure a safe, happy, and stimulating environment. This innovative facility will focus on creating a world of learning, joy, and adventure for the children and employees of the City of Grand Junction.

Duties
What You\'ll Do:
Assist with the implementation of age-appropriate curricula and services for children six (6) weeks to six (6) years of age to provide a safe and effective learning environment; define and communicate appropriate limits and boundaries for students; conduct ongoing developmental evaluations of children; ensure smooth transitions between activities.
Maintain ongoing, open communication with Early Childhood Education Teachers, parents, guardians, and caregivers; collaborate with children\'s families to facilitate participation and address behavioral or learning concerns.
