We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Echocardiographer to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing echocardiograms and assisting in the diagnostic evaluation of patients. This role is crucial in providing high-quality imaging services that contribute to patient care and treatment plans. The Echocardiographer will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment, ensuring accurate and timely results.
Responsibilities
Perform echocardiograms on patients, ensuring high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
Collaborate with physicians to interpret echocardiogram results and assist in developing patient care plans.
Maintain patient safety and comfort during procedures, utilizing aseptic techniques as required.
Monitor vital signs throughout the procedure and respond to any changes in patient condition.
Document all findings accurately in the patient's medical record, adhering to established protocols.
Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated for optimal performance.
Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advancements in echocardiography techniques and technologies.
Assist in the lab as needed, supporting various diagnostic evaluations related to cardiology.
Qualifications
Certification as an Echocardiographer or equivalent qualification is required.
Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to cardiac function.
Familiarity with telemetry monitoring systems and emergency medicine protocols is preferred.
Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center or similar environment is a plus.
Proficiency in aseptic technique and understanding of radiology principles are advantageous.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for maintaining accurate patient records.
