Position Summary:

Performs and assists with cardiovascular diagnostic procedures on adult, geriatric patients. Responsible for initiating all vascular or echo procedures. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed sound waves for radiologic diagnosis or intervention. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.

Independence Physician Management (IPM), a subsidiary of UHS, was formed in 2012 as the physician services unit of UHS. IPM develops and manages multi-specialty physician networks and urgent care clinics which align with UHS acute care facilities. It also provides select services for the Behavioral Health division of UHS. Through continuing growth, IPM operates in 11 markets across six states and the District of Columbia. Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, Licensure, Training & Travel Requirements (if applicable):
  • Requires graduation from an Echo Tech Program (AS, BS, or AA degree with emphasis in life and physical science)
  • Must obtain Require registration in vascular technology and cardiac sonography by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RVT and RDCS) or adult cardiac sonography and vascular specialty from Cardiac Credentialing International (RVS, RCS)
  • Require training by the American Heart Association in BLS required
  • Requires two (2) years of pertinent Echo Tech experience
