E-Commerce Clerk
Retail and Contract Operations E-Commerce/Retail E-Commerce Manager Non-Exempt
Human Resources

Responsible to effectively achieve goals of posting and listing merchandise on e-commerce platforms by performing the following essential duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

  • Must consistently achieve daily goals for listings and posting as assigned by E-Commerce
Manager.

Responsible to sort, process, identify, and evaluate merchandise for sale on e-commerce

platforms.

Maximize value of merchandise by researching, effectively describing, and listing and posting

items for sale.

Take clear, detailed, and aesthetically pleasing photographs of merchandise being prepared for

listing and posting

Must write detailed, accurate, concise descriptions of merchandise consistently for all listings

Responsible to maintain accurate records of sold and posted items

Store, retrieve, and catalogue incoming and outgoing items accurately.

Responsible to assist with handling and shipping of merchandise to meet shipping and delivery

timelines.

Displays and practices courteous, professional behavior towards customers at all times.

Professionally addresses customer complaints and resolves problems in a professional and efficient manner. Handles returned product, and effectively communicates issues to E- Commerce Manager for support in resolution.

Must consistently follow all procedures for handling and sale of ecommerce merchandise.

Responsible to assist with inventory control and loss prevention. Ensure that all loss prevention matters are reported immediately to E-Commerce Manager for further investigation and

resolution.

Responsible to conduct work and use equipment in a safe manner at all times following all

required Safety Policies and Procedures.

Responsible for awareness of and adherence to all company safety policies and procedures.

Other duties as assigned.

Individual must have a positive attitude, integrity, respect for all, customer service, communication, teamwork, organizing, reading, writing, and ability to use basic computer systems and internet.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience that shows potential to perform the essential duties of this position. Prior customer service experience and or training highly desirable.

TECHNOLOGY SKILLS

Must have basic training or experience in the use of Windows-based computer systems; must have the ability to be trained using various E-Commerce web based platforms.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively communicate and respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, or members of the business community.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, hear, and talk. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work mainly indoors in either a warehouse or office setting. Employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and extreme heat, air conditioning and dust. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Regular attendance is a requirement of this position. Core work hours are between 7:30am \xe2\x80\x93 4:30pm, schedule will may fluctuate and include weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of E- Commerce/Retail Operation.
