Nurse Educator - Pediatrics
Part-time - 24 hours per week, Monday - Friday
Some early morning, evenings, and weekend hours when education is needed for those colleagues working night and weekend shifts.
This position will support Education needs throughout the hospital, but primarily focus on Pediatrics.
Candidate must have an Pediatric background.
The Educator-Nursing position provides in-depth knowledge and demonstration of technical skills pertinent to nursing and the specialty area of practice. The position is used to promote education and development of the direct care providers to enhance the quality of care to patients. Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in nursing is required.
Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice plus 3 years clinical experience may be considered in lieu of bachelor\'s degree.
Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in nursing or related field is preferred.
Experience
Four years of staff nurse or healthcare experience is required.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice is required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is preferred. Specialty certification is preferred.
