Job Description


:Summary:We are currently seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic oncology team. This position will primarily focus on providing exceptional outpatient care to patients undergoing treatment for various oncological conditions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for oncology care, strong clinical skills, and a commitment to delivering compassionate patient-centered care.Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of oncology patients, including physical exams, medical histories, and symptom management.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary oncology team.
  • Administer chemotherapy and other medications as prescribed by the attending physician.
  • Monitor patient responses to treatment, evaluate lab results, and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Educate patients and their families about their diagnosis, treatment options, and supportive care resources.
  • Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and families throughout their cancer journey.
  • Coordinate care with other healthcare providers, including surgeons, radiation oncologists, and social workers.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
Education Requirements:
  • Master\'s degree or higher in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program
  • Current national certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP)
  • State licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with prescriptive authority
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or a related field preferred
Licensure Requirement: Candidates must hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Hawaii, DEA, and Hawaii Controlled Substance (may be obtained upon hire)Company Description:East Hawaii Medical Group is the East Hawaii Region\'s diverse provider group of over 100 physicians and advanced practice providers, representing various specialties in our hospitals and outpatient clinics.
