To explore and learn more, click !Primary ResponsibilitiesAs an essential part of our dynamic team developing advanced electrical system designs. You will analyze, design and integrate solutions that will successfully address a wide variety of customer challenges.You will primarily be focused on electrical design and integration for the Enduring Shield ground based force protection system, but there are also opportunities to participate in design of electrical architectures and integrated systems for other mission-critical systems that include flight systems, sensors, ground vehicles, and space hardware.Typical Responsibilities Include:System level electrical design including cable design specification and cable drawingsParts selection and derating activitiesNew hardware design verification testingSupport system level integration activitiesSTE (Special Test Equipment) design and assemblyRadar system development.High Power Microwave system development.Basic QualificationsCandidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited institution with 8+ years of experience or 6+ years with MS degree.Candidate must have experience in electronics design and test from architecture through implementation.Position requires candidates to be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environmentExperience with special test equipment design/architecture to facilitate production testing of MIL rated components.Candidate must have hands-on laboratory experience with instrumentation, test equipment, and debug/test methods.Cable design experience in Visio or Excel.Candidates must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.Preferred QualificationsExperience with radar front-end and back-end architecture, design, and testing Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620 class 3 and IPC J-STD-001 Standards.Experience with RF path design, link budget analysis, noise figure, insertion loss, and signal purity calculations.Familiarity with mil-spec component selection.Familiarity with AS50881 NASA Derating StandardCable design experience using SolidWorks Electrical, Creo Schematic, DraftsightOriginal Posting Date: 2025-01-29While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.Pay Range: Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
