Position Title: Elementary Teacher \xe2\x80\x93 Grade 5 Location: Legacy Elementary Department: Elementary Teachers Reports To: Building-level School Principal Term: January 2, 2024 - through end of school year This will be a non-continuing, fixed term contract for the remainder of the 2023-2024 school year. The possibility of a continuing contract may be considered for the 2024-2025 school year. Schedule: M-F 7:40am-3:30pm Salary: Follows the 2023-2024 Teacher Salary Schedule Date of last review: November 2023
SUMMARY: The classroom teacher creates an engaging, nurturing and safe learning environment that allows learners to develop their physical, social, and emotional wellbeing; providing instruction in academics, future ready skills, knowledge, and dispositions to be compassionate, lifelong-learners, and contributing citizens in a rapidly changing world.

Education and/or Experience:
ND Teaching License with appropriate qualifications to teach grades 1-8 or K-8.
Bachelor\'s Degree in elementary education.
Experience and/or knowledge of Personalized Competency Based Learning (PCBL).
Experience and/or knowledge of Restorative Practices.
Prior experience managing complex learner behaviors or working with behavior plans.
Experience working in an elementary school setting is preferred.
Prior teaching experience is preferred.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, write, comprehend, and converse in the English language.

Adhere to the assigned work schedule by maintaining regular and punctual attendance.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
