Our client, a nonprofit organization focused on community support and advocacy, is seeking a Emergency Response Clinician to join their team. As a Behavioral Health Specialist, you will be part of the Substance Use and Crisis Intervention team, supporting individuals and families during crisis situations. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, compassion, and a commitment to empowering individuals on their recovery journey, which will align successfully in the organization.Job Title: Emergency Response ClinicianLocation: Newburgh, NYPay Range: $60,000 - $65,000KWhatxe2x80x99s the Job?

  • Partner with the team to respond to substance use and co-occurring disorders emergency calls, providing support to individuals and their families.
  • Educate families and individuals on addiction progression, harm reduction strategies, and navigating treatment systems, including insurance barriers.
  • Coordinate referrals to the local Crisis Call Center and Mobile Response Team as needed.
  • Advocate for individuals by assisting with rights protection, resolving complaints, and navigating community supports.
  • Attend meetings and training sessions to maintain knowledge of best practices and community resources.
Whatxe2x80x99s Needed?
  • Licensed Professional of the Healing Arts (LPHA) credentials, such as LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year of management or supervisory experience.
  • Working knowledge of the recovery process and multi-pathways to recovery, with self-disclosure experience preferred.
  • Strong data entry, computer software, and time management skills.
  • Valid driverxe2x80x99s license and reliable transportation, with bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
