:Emergency Technician at Providence Little Company of Mary in Torrance, CA. This position is full-time and will work 12-hour Day Shifts.The Emergency Services Technician role is a non-licensed health care employee who performs delegated routine and predictable patient care tasks/duties and works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). These duties may include, but are not limited to ECGs, vital signs, monitoring, basic patient care and transportation. Responds appropriately to patients and families with knowledge of age-specific needs based on the emergency department scope of service.Providence caregivers are not simply valued - they\'re invaluable. • Certification as an EMT or completion of an accredited EMT course or demonstrated equivalency (such as experience as a Corpsman or MD)
• Upon hire: California Emergency Medical Technician License or California Emergency Medical Technician Advanced License or California Paramedic License
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

• Basis EKG course
• 1 year EMT experience
• 1 year Emergency Department experience
