This individual will be accountable for coaching a dynamic technical team that is responsible for designing, developing and upholding our power packaging and integration solutions.WHAT JTS OFFERS:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Own the long term and short-term vision of the Engineering Department
  • Define processes to optimize and streamline productivity and quality of engineering and project managers contributions
  • Foster a collaborative team culture, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous learning
  • Nurture and develop strong relationships with customers and clients
  • Coach and set performance indicators to drive higher level innovation and follow through
  • Perform evaluations while managing disciplinary actions when necessary
  • Lead communication with other departments and leadership team to ensure compliance with industry and safety regulations
  • Oversee the testing and evaluation of mechanical and/or electrical equipment to determine that it meets industry standards and performance requirements
  • Provide technical oversight and consultation to ensure proper installation and maintenance of mechanical or electrical systems
  • Ensure due diligence is completed with investigations and troubleshooting of customer issues and concerns
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in engineering or a related field required; Master\'s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering experience required.
  • Demonstrated professional experience to qualify for a director leadership position within a manufacturing industry-required
  • Experience in strategic planning, budgeting, delivering results and innovation
  • Experience leading teams and performance management
  • Strong technical background and proficiency in relevant programming, languages, tools, and technologies.
  • Understanding of computer-aided design (CAD) software, programming languages, or other tools.
  • Knowledge of safety and code regulations and requirements for electrical systems and equipment.
  • Familiar with the industry\xe2\x80\x99s best practices, trends, and emerging technologies in the engineering field.
  • Knowledge of jobsite safety and ability to always ensure a safe workplace.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Ability to lead in a fast pace, high request rate, dynamic environment and provide meaningful direction to the team
  • Excellent communication skills and business acumen working with senior management, administrative teams, production staff and outside stakeholders
  • Collaboratively work with staff to identify issues, develop possible solutions, prepare accurate documentation, and facilitate resolution of issues identified during the manufacturing process
  • Work with clients and participate with project managers and engineers in the development of plans
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to quickly learn complex technologies and business models
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
