job summary:
Growing company in Lincoln, NE is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead their team. The ideal candidate will have a B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) and previous management experience. This is a smaller organization of around 30 that will grow to around 50 - looking for a self-starter and visionary to help build the team, which currently consists of 5 engineers and drafters. Will relocate for the right candidate. Previous food and beverage systems and equipment experience highly preferred. Some travel required, less than 30%.

responsibilities:

• Build and manage a best-in-class, innovative engineering function from a blank slate

• Deliver a best-in-class product portfolio which outperforms competitor systems, maximizes customer uptime, and minimizes post-sale support requirements

• Partner with other employees across the organization to establish ongoing continuous improvement across engineering lifecycle: design, production, assembly, installation, support, service

Requirements:

• Mechanical engineering degree or similar

• 5+ years of management experience in manufacturing

• Proficiency with AutoCad/SolidWorks

• Food and beverage manufacturing experience highly preferred

• Some travel required, less than 30%
