Job Description
The VISTA project focuses on empowering refugees and immigrants to achieve economic independence by enhancing Canopy's Entrepreneurship Program. This includes supporting participants in launching businesses through a 12-week course and providing opportunities for women to produce and sell goods from home. By increasing the program's capacity, visibility, and impact, the VISTA member will help create a welcoming, inclusive community where refugee and immigrant families can thrive.
Member Duties :
The VISTA member will strengthen Canopy's Entrepreneurship Program by developing Standard Operating Procedures, implementing data management systems, and coordinating markets and retail opportunities for participants. They will also help manage volunteers, raise awareness of the program through social media and community engagement, and research and help build partnerships to expand opportunities for refugee and immigrant entrepreneurs.Program Benefits :
