Entry-Level or Associate Fabrication Specialists \xe2\x80\x93 Metals Assembly (Multiple Shifts)Company:Job ID: 00000433113Date Posted: 2024-07-19Location: USA - Salt Lake City, UT, USA - West Jordan, UT Qualifications:Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking Entry-Level or Associate Fabrication Specialists (Level A and Level B) to support the Metals Assembly Team in Salt Lake City or West Jordan, Utah on Multiple Shifts!Position Responsibilities:

• Performs machine set-up, machining, welding set-up, welding, sheet metal fabrication and extrusion, tube bending and fabrication tasks.
• Performs composite lay-up, fabrication and assembly tasks.
• Assembles precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components.
• Assembles, repairs, modifies and installs various power plants and drive trains.
• Perform soldering on electronic and avionics products.
• Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products.
• Prepares test articles, fixtures and data collection devices to perform various tests.
• Performs basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation.
• Applies routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements.
• Works on articles of moderate complexity using established drawings and requirements.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

• Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.
• Able to lift/carry up to 35 lbs.
• Able to perform physical activities such as climbing, bending, kneeling, and lifting.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

• 1+ years\xe2\x80\x99 related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ months experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience.
• Experience with managing or working to safety, quality, and manufacturing performance data.
• Experience with Lean Principles (Continuous Improvement, Standard Work, and 5-S tools).
