Probst performs new build, design-build, and maintenance services for both the public and private sector utilities. Probst offers construction and maintenance services in a variety of utility markets, including transmission, distribution, substation, drilling, and associated electrical.

Position:

The Construction Safety Supervisor is a support position within the Compliance and Safety Department, reporting to the Safety Manager. This position supports the operation of project-specific compliance and safety for power line and substation construction.

This position requires full-time travel to worksites. Your first assignment will be working on the construction of a powerline in the Western United States.

Tasks:

• Assist Safety Manager
• Perform on-site Employee Safety Orientation
• Perform safety observations sheet per crew each day while on project
• Perform weekly safety audits
• Build professional relationships with crew members and client project personnel
• Assist the safety department with required record keeping
• Manage onsite Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Assist the safety department with the incident investigation process
• Attend and contribute to on-site project meetings
• Perform weekly safety training
• Promote the safety and health of the workforce.
• Monitor site operations for unsafe work practices.

• High school graduate and/or GED equivalent
• 0 \xe2\x80\x93 2 years related experience (ideally within power line construction)
• OSHA 30 hr Construction certification and/or related safety certification preferred
• Understanding of Federal and State safety regulations and training requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and experience with web-based tracking software.
