Job Summary:
You will be an onsite Environmental Safety Technician, and your responsibilities encompass supporting and contributing to a successful Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) team, and assisting in project team compliance, performing stormwater and safety inspections at construction sites, as well as assisting and implement Environmental & Safety programs, training, and project support. Learning and understanding of regulatory requirements, written programs, site planning, permitting and stormwater guidance as it relates to, EPA, OSHA, State, and local government. Assist in the identification, evaluation and recommendations of risk, remediation, and regulations as it relates to environmental and safety requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
Ability to learn, interpret and apply Haselden Construction Environmental & Safety programs.
Assists the EH&S Department in formulating site specific environmental & safety policies and procedures in compliance with current local, state, and federal entities such as OSHA, EPA and CDPHE.
Conduct stormwater and safety inspections to ensure project compliance with established standards.
Participate at all levels in developing and conducting stormwater and safety training.
Coordinate with project teams on incident investigations as it relates to non-compliance with project standards. Compile required information to support the incident investigation.
Communicate effectively with the EH&S team on all pertinent items as it relates to policies/procedures and federal, state, and local regulations associated with inspections, incidents, accidents, and injuries.
Conduct and document employee environmental & safety training per company policy.
Participate in federal, state, local government, and third-party environmental inspector walk-throughs.
Perform on site first aid requirements and recommend medical treatment when required.
Perform additional assignments as requested by the EH&S Team.

Job Requirements:
The position is currently based on the western slopes of Colorado. Travel to projects will be required, which may include overnight stays depending on location. Ability to travel is necessary.
High school diploma or equivalent.
3-5 years' experience in construction and/or previous experience as an onsite environmental safety technician.
Independence and reliability.
Ability to develop relationships and become a trusted partner of our EH&S team and field teams.
Effectively communicate with internal employees, subcontractors and site supervision.
Ability to interpret and present technical instructions
Problem solving and critical thinking.
Complete knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Valid Colorado Driver's License
Ability work at elevations, climb ladders, use scaffolding, wear fall protection and work in inclement weather.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bi-lingual in Spanish, with ability to translate is highly preferred but not required.
OSHA/ Environmental training/certifications preferred but not required.
Salary:
The salary range for this position is $65,000- $70,000 per year. Salary to be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and certifications.
