  • Represent the Division and the Office at meetings with HUD program offices, other Federal agencies, and agencies and organizations outside the Federal Government to discuss studies, policies, regulations, standards, guidelines, and program monitoring systems pertaining to the evaluation and reduction of housing-related lead, mold, allergen, and other residential hazards.
  • Review and provide technical comments on technical study reports, papers, and other written material prepared by others within and outside of the Office.
  • Independently conduct analyses of data files developed within and/or outside of the Office.

Specialized Experience for this position includes:
- Developing policies for environmental health and safety research; AND
- Writing and reviewing Grants and/or notice of funding opportunity; AND
- Providing direction and solutions to managers or policy stakeholders on environmental health and safety issues.Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or . One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resume.EducationThe education generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Degree: physical science, engineering, or mathematics that included 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science such as mechanics, dynamics, properties of materials, and electronics.orCombination of education and experience -- education equivalent to one of the majors shown in A above that included at least 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science, plus appropriate experience or additional education.Additional informationKey Requirements:
  • Must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
