Job Description

Weston & Sampson is currently seeking an Environmental Scientist/Geologist with 0-3 years of experience in either of our Reading or Foxborough Massachusetts offices. This candidate must have a strong work ethic and who would like to be part of a growing team. Optimal candidate will reside in the greater Boston area area and have the ability to work remotely.What youxe2x80x99ll do:

• Experience and be familiar with, or excited to learn about, performing Environmental sampling, oversight of environmental remediation and construction projects, inspections of constructed sites, report preparation associated with environmental activities, assuring compliance with contract specifications and plans.
• Collecting field samples for screening and/or laboratory analysis (air, soil, groundwater, and water)
• Required to work long hours at environmental sites documenting and inspecting work.
• Ability to handle flexible workload, diverse project files, and work well with multiple staff members.

What youxe2x80x99ll bring:

• Associate degree in engineering or environmental science or Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in environmental science, geology or related field.
• 0 to 3 years of experience
• Familiarity with ArcGIS and AutoCAD considered a plus but is not mandatory.
• Experience working in field setting (construction oversight, soils logging, drilling oversight) a plus but not required.
• A positive attitude and able to communicate effectively with others
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Travel will be required to conduct field work (valid driverxe2x80x99s license is required)
• Able to handle flexible workload.
• Work well with multiple staff members
