Job Description

HCA Florida Destin-Fort Walton Beach Hospital is seeking a board certified/board eligible electrophysiology cardiologist to join an established hospital employed group in 2023

Qualifications Needed:

• Board certified or board eligible in EP cardiology
• Florida license or ability to obtain one
• AF ablation experience preferred
• Lead extraction experience preferred
• Well versed in AFIB Ablations, Watchman and Cardiac devices

About the opportunity:

• Join 1 other EP Specialist, and be the only 2 EP\'s in the area.
• Employment with a private local group
• 2 office days and 3 procedure days

• 7 cardiologists and 4 APP\'s in the group consisting of: heart failure, advanced cardiac imaging, electrophysiology, interventional and general
• EP cases are booked 6-8 weeks in advance
• Approval underway for Carto Octaray system for ablations
• 1 EP ab and 1 Hybrid Lab
• 2023 We will have another dedicated EP Lab
• 2023 start date

• FWDH: 309 bed HCA level 2 trauma facility (expansion underway adding an additional 30 beds next year)
• Medical ICU- 33 beds (plus an additional 8 CVICU beds)
• Stealth navigation system with O arm and Mazor spine robot
• Certified primary stroke center working towards comprehensive stroke certification
• Currently hosting 3rd and 4th year D.O. students from Auburn\'s VCOM (D.O.) School
• Will have IM residency program in 2024
• Named among the top 10% in the nation by Healthgrades for cardiac surgery, joint replacement, and patient safety
• Listed as 4th highest in the nation for infection prevention by Consumer Reports
• Area\'s only accredited Chest Pain Center, Primary Stroke Center and cardiac program offering open heart surgery, Watchman, and TAVR
