Posting Summary
The Grossman School of Business Event Administrative Support Coordinator is responsible for providing coordination and administrative support for programs and events within the Grossman School of Business (GSB). Develop and track program budgets in collaboration with the Business Manager and faculty/staff assigned to each event. Oversee all contract agreements associated with programs and events, including bid evaluations, negotiations, final cost estimates, cost reconciliations, and special requests/arrangements. Oversee event supply inventory, including ordering, pickup, delivery, and restocking. Provide additional hands-on support at events, to include room setups, moving furniture, and other event setup and breakdown needs. Oversee student travel arrangements related to experiential programs. Coordinate site registrations and list/roster maintenance, generate surveys, and collect data. Coordinate, create and facilitate production of digital and physical event-related assets. Supervise event support student employees.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Associate degree in business, hospitality or related \xef\xac\x81eld and one to three years of event, hospitality or other related experience required. Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills required. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required. Demonstrated customer service, administrative, and operational support skills required. Proficiency in spreadsheet, database, and word-processing applications required. Pro\xef\xac\x81ciency with Internet resources required. Demonstrated ability to learn new methods and work independently or collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated multicultural competence and a commitment to fostering an inclusive environment required.
Desirable Qualifications
Experience in interacting with entrepreneurs, business owners, advisors, and educators desired. Experience with database management. Self-starter.
