JOB TITLE

: Events Planner

SUMMARY:

Cuisine Solutions Inc. (CSI) seeks a talented and experienced Events Planner to support the Marketing team and to organize outstanding and impactful events and tradeshows for the world's largest and most innovative sous vide manufacturer. Tradeshows support each sales channel (Foodservice, Onboard Services, National Restaurant Chains, Retail); tradeshows include the National Restaurant Association Show, Natural Products Expo West, and WTCE, among others. Events include our own International Sous Vide Day (ISVD) celebrations. Are you passionate about food? Do you possess a strategic and positive mindset? You will be responsible for our events program's success, from managing venue logistics to communication across internal and external parties as the event's "air traffic controller," as well as performing post-show evaluations to determine ROI and success afterward. As the Events Planner, you should be well-organized and possess a sound knowledge of vendor management and negotiation, as well as have the ability to coordinate and track multiple events with varying deadlines.


While the Events Planner is the sole events practitioner, organizing events at CSI is a team sport. You will need to be skilled at communicating with senior members of the Marketing team, as well as company's most senior executives, including the CEO, CSO (Chief Strategy Officer), and CCO (Chief Commercial Officer) to report progress, provide strategic counsel, and to gather needed information and/or approvals. Excellent communication skills and impeccable attention to detail are vital in this role.


Travel is required for the role (~30%); you will be expected to lead and attend all events in person.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:



At least 5-7 years' experience as an event planning professional. Experience planning trade shows related to the culinary/food service/hospitality industry is a plus. Bachelor's degree. Well-organized with excellent multi-tasking abilities. Experience creating and managing event budgets. Excellent written and verbal English language skills. Outstanding vendor management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Flexibility and a can-do/will-do mindset. Interest in the food space; hospitality background is a plus. Experience with social media, photography, and videography is a plus.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:



Maintain event budgets; advise CEO, CSO, and CCO on ideal events mix for Cuisine Solutions. Alongside internal stakeholders, (C-suite executives, Culinary and Sales teams) set company goals and sales objectives for each event. Oversee and negotiate contracts with vendors and show organizers; manage the work and communications throughout the event planning process. Utilizing Microsoft Planner (or other project management tool), create event timelines and related tasks; assign tasks to relevant departments/team members/external agencies, following up to ensure completion. Organize and preserve all event materials in SharePoint and/or Teams. Proactively communicate event updates and to-dos with internal stakeholders regularly, with regularity increasing as show dates near; organize all meetings and meeting agendas, including kickoff. Collaborate with Sales team(s), agencies, and designers as needed to ensure that marketing and sales collateral is created and ready for each show. Book venues, entertainers, photographers, dinners, schedule speakers, etc. Manage all event set-up, tear down, booth storage, and follow-up processes and logistics. Alongside internal stakeholders (notably Sales), assess an event's overall success and submit findings. Build FAQs, SOPs, and other materials to educate internal teams on CSI events and to aid in future planning.
