Pay: Commission 7.5% on individual repair order gross parts and labor plus spiffs/bonuses -according to terms of pay plan, with average total monthly compensation of $9200 and increased earnings potential based on total individual service sales. Responsibilities
Greets customers in a timely, friendly manner and obtains vehicle information.
Writes up customers\xe2\x80\x99 vehicle problems accurately and clearly on repair order.
Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts.
Establishes "promised time." Checks with team foreman, if necessary.
Obtains customer\'s signature on repair order; provides customer with a copy.
Checks on the progress of repair throughout the day. Contacts customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, explains cost and time requirements in detail, and gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed.
Reviews repair orders to ensure that work is completed and additional work and authorization is noted. Closes repair order as appropriate.
Explains completed work and all charges to customers.
Handles telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years service writing experience preferred.
Minimum 2 years of dealership experience preferred.
Excellent communication skills (including listening, speaking).
Ability to multitask.
Physical ability to use computer hardware/software.
Computer literate (MS Word, Advanced Excel, Outlook,)
Organized and extremely detail-oriented
Ability to prioritize
Deadline-oriented
General math skills
Basic knowledge of dealership operations and/or office/clerical experience.
