Summary of Job Duties: These assistants will participate in all activities involved in supporting fish nutrition studies as well as aquaponics studies. Activities include stocking, sampling and harvesting fish, weighing feed and feeding fish, conducting water quality analysis, cleaning tanks and entering data in spreadsheets as instructed by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

Undergraduate students in aquaculture and fisheries are preferred, but high school students with a biology background and willingness to learn will be considered. Must be willing to handle fish, get wet and muddy, and work under hot, humid conditions. Must be reliable and capable of working independently or in a group as instructed by the supervisor.
