Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Pratt & Whitney (P&W) Military Engines F135 Fleet Operations has a rare opportunity for a motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter with strong communication skills \xe2\x80\x93 both oral and written \xe2\x80\x93 to represent the P&W Team at Dannelly Field as the F135 Site Lead and Technical SME. This role is required onsite at Dannelly Field ANGB in Alabama.

This position is a customer facing role in a high visibility and team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the F135 Site Lead and F135 Propulsion System Subject Matter Expert who will be the first onsite Field Service Engineer (FSE) to prepare for Dannelly Fields first F-35 aircraft arrival and all propulsion site activation details.
  • Provide world class customer support and technical expertise for F135 systems, tooling, materials, and processes.
  • The FSE will have hands-on interaction with the F135 engine (software and hardware), aircraft, and squadron personnel.
  • Ensure comprehensive reporting of customer compliments, comments, and complaints in addition to F135 support activities including aircraft and engine status, flight reports, operational data, engine configuration status, parts consumption, and support equipment health.
  • Model collaboration excellence by working closely with internal P&W teams (Customer Support Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Center, ALIS teams) to assist the unit in troubleshooting and resolution of emerging customer issues and maintain flexibility to resolve constantly changing customer priorities.
  • Set an example for all FSE teams using self-initiative and judgment by identifying problems, conducting investigations, determining root cause, and coordinating solutions in concert with P&W, the Joint Strike Fighter Program Office, Air Combat Command (ACC), Partner countries, and Lockheed Martin. As P&W Site Manager, selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating field issues with P&W Engineering, Operations Center, Logistics Program Management, and other agencies.
  • Maintain compliance of Environment, Health, and Safety (EH&S) requirements, epitomize the highest personal and company ethical values and lead the charge in Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE).
Basic Qualifications:
  • BS/BA degree required in Engineering or related technical field. Non-technical degrees will be considered if the candidate has appropriate / related experience.
  • A minimum 8+ years of professional experience in engine/aircraft maintenance, logistics, and logistics support is required. This includes supply chain management and support equipment management; or Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree with 5 years of relevant experience.
  • US Citizenship required due to government contracts.
  • Selected candidate must possess a US Govt. Secret Clearance or have ability to secure one for position requirements \xe2\x80\x93 Candidates whose clearance has recently lapsed (not more than 2 years), may also apply for consideration.
  • Must agree to travel for extended periods of time to support customer deployments, Domestic and International Travel.
  • Must have the ability to rotate first and second shift schedules as required to meet customer support and team objectives.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Background in ITAR/ITC is desired.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
