Job Summary:

To perform and assist with facility maintenance activities as assigned including but not limited to maintenance functions for buildings, equipment, and grounds.

Job Responsibilities:

\xe2\x97\x8f Ensure equipment and systems operate efficiently and safely

\xe2\x97\x8f Understand and comply with safety management, EPA and OSHA policies, procedures, and programs

\xe2\x97\x8f Understand and use data from Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to complete proper and timely preventative maintenance, repairs, and record keeping as required

\xe2\x97\x8f Ensure all paperwork is accurate, completed on time, and neat

\xe2\x97\x8f Interact effectively and in a respectful manner even in difficult situations

\xe2\x97\x8f Work with little direction and assist others

\xe2\x97\x8f Continually displaying a conscious concern for personal and team member safety by assisting to provide the safest workplace possible

\xe2\x97\x8f Safely operating and maintaining equipment

\xe2\x97\x8f Reporting unsafe equipment, conditions, and behaviors to direct supervisor immediately

\xe2\x97\x8f Take immediate action to correct safety issues

\xe2\x97\x8f Treat building and equipment with respect and report all safety concerns

\xe2\x97\x8f Identify and suggest possible equipment and/or safety improvements

\xe2\x97\x8f Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) policies and procedures

\xe2\x97\x8f Support sanitation by keeping areas clean and neat while working and at end of shift

\xe2\x97\x8f (If applicable and properly trained/certified,) Operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) as required by position or as assigned by function

\xe2\x97\x8f Follow and confirm proper lock out/tag out and permit procedures

\xe2\x97\x8f Other duties as assigned

Experience and Qualifications:

\xe2\x97\x8f High school diploma or GED. College coursework, continuing technical education or comparable business experience preferred

\xe2\x97\x8f Warehouse experience preferred

\xe2\x97\x8f Experience operating Material Handling Equipment preferred

\xe2\x97\x8f Ability to remain calm and focused while prioritizing requests from multiple sources

\xe2\x97\x8f Ability to use basic hand tools \\\xe2\x97\x8f Basic knowledge of general construction, plumbing, electric, and hydraulic systems

\xe2\x97\x8f Accuracy and attention to detail

\xe2\x97\x8f Able to read, write, speak and understand English \xe2\x97\x8f Ability to read and understand label data

\xe2\x97\x8f Ability to read small print on packaging and paperwork, with or without corrective lenses

\xe2\x97\x8f Ability to take directions using the headset selection system (such as VoCollect)

\xe2\x97\x8f Ability to accommodate flexible schedules to meet the needs of the customer to include nights, weekends and holidays

Environmental Job Conditions:

\xe2\x97\x8f Independently lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 100 lbs occasionally \xe2\x97\x8f Must be able to respond and perform physical demands of weather emergencies

\xe2\x97\x8f Must be able to tolerate and work in confined space(s)

\xe2\x97\x8f Must perform pre-shift stretching routine

\xe2\x97\x8f Must be able to pass respirator fit test, wear respirator and Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) if required

\xe2\x97\x8f Able to sit, stand, walk, bend, squat on a frequent to continual basis in a refrigerated warehouse environment

\xe2\x97\x8f Able to grasp, reach, push or pull (such as boxes of product, or a hand truck) on a frequent basis

\xe2\x97\x8f Ability to utilize good hand-eye coordination and depth perception to operate forklift, reach truck, and HiLo safely and accurately

\xe2\x97\x8f Able to step up onto and down from equipment as required by task (such as forklift, reach truck, etc.)

\xe2\x97\x8f Ability to work at elevated heights while wearing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for the job (such as fall protection harnesses)

\xe2\x97\x8f Ability to reach above shoulder level frequently

\xe2\x97\x8f Able to adjust to fluctuating temperatures and withstand freezing temperatures as low as -20 degrees Fahrenheit

\xe2\x97\x8f Ability to work in a noisy warehouse environment

\xe2\x97\x8f Able to wear and communicate through headsets for long periods of time as required by location

\xe2\x97\x8f Able to work while wearing appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for the job (such as steel-toed protective footwear, harness, safety glasses, hard hat, gloves, insulated clothing, etc)

\xe2\x97\x8f Ability to handle and physically be near products which may contain food allergens (such as fish, shellfish, peanuts, etc.)

\xe2\x97\x8f Ability to utilize equipment for the job safely and accurately after training (such as computer, handheld tracker, copiers, scanners, printers, radio headsets, forklift, reach truck, etc.)
