Summary of Job Duties: Facilitate peer to peer coaching, individually and/or with groups with new and mid-career agents.
Assure training and peer coaching is provided to:

  • Assist agents in learning program planning techniques
  • Learn effective implementation techniques that may include demonstration methods, discussion groups, prepared talks using evolving technologies
  • Teach effective program evaluation techniques
  • Use of evaluation data to write effective impact statements
Work with new agents (5 years or less) to help them access training unique to less tenure and any agent needing guidance in a specific area. It could include:
  • Effective leadership techniques in working with AEHC, Advisory groups and other stakeholder groups. Identify the agent\xe2\x80\x99s role with these groups.
  • How to answer client questions in a timely manner by identifying where to find the answers or re-directing the client to an expert in another agency, etc.
  • Program Visibility techniques.
  • Working effectively with your county team.
  • Building Community Partnerships.
  • Adapting programs to different audiences.
  • Using Extension websites, constant contact, and social media assets.
Facilitate training to assure new agents understand the importance of reaching a diverse audience that is indicative of the county\xe2\x80\x99s population.
Communicate with District Staff and Supervisor any technology, curricula, demonstration supplies, etc. needed by new agents to assure their success.
Identify future in-service training needs that can be mainstreamed into the annual in-service training process.
Serve on Division and Extension Committees as assigned. Participate in professional and organizational development.

Qualifications:

A Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Family & Consumer Sciences or related field is required.
