\xc2\xb7 FNP is responsible to provide high quality Family Practice services within the practice setting.
\xc2\xb7 FNP shall possess a valid Maine medical license and retain a current federal narcotics license number.
\xc2\xb7 FNP shall be a member in good standing of the Hospital Medical Staff and shall meet all requirements of the Medical Staff with respect to the FNPs practice at the Hospital, including participation in Medical Staff and Departmental activities.
\xc2\xb7 FNP shall maintain current knowledge and skills through independent study and continuing medical education activities.
\xc2\xb7 FNP shall accept all forms of third-party reimbursement, including but not limited to Medicaid, Medicare, commercial health insurance, and applicable negotiated managed care reimbursement, and shall provide reasonable amounts of charity care.
\xc2\xb7 FNP shall report to the person designated by the Chief Executive Officer as the FNP\'s supervisor with respect to the business and financial aspects of the Physician\'s employment hereunder.
\xc2\xb7 FNP shall exhibit professionalism in the facility in regards to behavior, attire, and reliability, and maintain a professional relationship with other health care providers, patients and their families.
\xc2\xb7 FNP must maintain knowledge of and compliance with federal and state regulations including EMTALA.
\xc2\xb7 FNP shall follow the basic principles of documentation, coding and reimbursement.
\xc2\xb7 FNP shall participate in quality measures and monitoring as set forth by the Accountable Care Organization and other required entities.
\xc2\xb7 Demonstrates a clear understanding of, and commitment to, the hospital\'s mission, visions and values as well as the service excellence standards while completing all tasks and responsibilities.
\xc2\xb7 Seeks out needed information by staying informed and involved by attending meetings, reading memos, policies, meeting minutes, newsletters, email and other appropriate information in a timely manner.
\xc2\xb7 Performs duties in a safe manner, in compliance with all safety policies and procedures
\xc2\xb7 Complies with the Code of Conduct and all appropriate policies and procedures
\xc2\xb7 Other duties, as assigned, that are relevant to the position and department
Requirements
Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) is responsible to provide high quality family practice services in a free standing clinical practice setting using facilities, equipment, and support services provided by the Hospital.
