Children\'s Therapy Center is seeking a full-time Family Resources Coordinator to join our Early Support for Infants & Toddlers (ESIT) Team serving our Kent, WA service area! Our Family Resources Coordinator (FRC) will work with families who have young children with developmental delays. Our goal is to help children achieve their full potential while helping parents and caregivers develop the confidence and competence they need to support their child. This position supports families in the coordination of services and resources throughout their time in our early supports program.

Family Resources Coordinator\'s coordinate access to early supports services through Children\'s Therapy Center Early Support for Infants & Toddlers (ESIT Program), serving families of qualifying children ages 0 - 3. They serve as the family\'s primary contact person while they are receiving early supports services and ensure that all services are provided in compliance with Part C regulations.

FRCs facilitate the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) for each family that will provide family supports and help each child reach their full potential. FRCs work collaboratively to ensure that services are provided in natural environments, including inclusive playgroups, the household and community settings in which children without disabilities participate; this may also include secure virtual settings.


  • Manage referrals, and schedule a developmental evaluation to determine eligibility for ESIT services.
  • Enroll children into the ESIT program by gathering family information and clearly explain the ESIT program, services and funding.
  • Coordinate and participate in each child\'s developmental assessment as part of the early supports team
  • Coordinate the delivery of therapy and early education services
  • Facilitate the scheduling, development, and reviews of Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) with the family and early supports team
  • Maintain current documentation; complete and organize necessary paperwork to meet timelines and funding requirements
  • Facilitate transition plans to support families as they shift out of early intervention and in to school district or community programs
  • Make regular contacts with families.
  • Serve as point of contact in compassionately helping families obtain needed resources including services, funds, and assistance
  • Participate in weekly team meetings with family resources coordinators, educators, speech, occupational, and physical therapists
  • Attend ongoing FRC training opportunities
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Relevant education and/or experience in case management, social work/social welfare, family studies, infant mental health, early childhood development, and/or special education
  • Strong knowledge of child development (birth to three)
  • Relevant education and/or experience working with families and young children in multi-cultural setting preferred, or highly motivated to learn.
  • Must be passionate about joining a professional team working to serve the needs of children and their families.
  • Warm and compassionate approach, with the ability to establish rapport and provide emotional support to families.
  • Exceptional people and communication skills, both verbal and in writing.
  • Strong computer skills including intermediate to expert level proficiency in Microsoft Office products and word processing; experience using EMR systems preferred.
  • Detailed oriented; organized and efficient.
  • Proven success in a busy, multi-task environment.
  • Valid CPR/First Aid card and reliable personal transportation required.
  • Bilingual language skills are a plus

Schedule:

This position is intended as full time 40 hour per week

Compensation & Benefits:

Children\'s Therapy Center offers equitable and competitive pay commensurate with job-related experience and education. The pay rate range for this position is $21.60-$35.53 dependent on related experience and education.

Eligible employees can enroll in our retirement plan with their first paycheck and will be eligible for company contributions after their first year of employment.
