To provide excellent and skilled case management that serves to support, guide, as well as serve a family advocate to achieve improved outcomes for both children and families; to assist in the recruitment of families who are eligible for Head Start based on selection criteria to ensure waitlists reflects total enrollment slots and is capable of achieving annual enrollment goal to fill one hundred percent of slots by May 31st each year.



The anticipated hiring range for this role is $50,875.48 - $58,506.80. The full salary range for the role is

$50,875.48

- $73,769.45.

Responsible for assisting in recruitment and ensuring full enrollment of Head Start families for each school year. Manages enrollment through eligibility documentation and assists parents in completing all necessary forms and obtaining correct documentation. Completes this with accuracy through verification of information prior to supervisory file audits Analyzes family's risks and needs based on current selection criteria and ensures confidentiality and compliance with federal regulations regarding assigning points and waitlist priority. Ability to understand and accurately follow requirements and principles as related to Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment, and Attendance (ERSEA). Provide orientation to families regarding the Head Start program when they transition into the program. Ensures a program tracking through database software is accurate and provides all necessary reports to supervisor on a timely basis. Ensures timely documentation is entered regarding all efforts/engagement involving family/child case management in current database software through DAP case noting. Build a rapport with families of diverse cultural backgrounds. Ability to assess family needs/risks and can coordinate and conduct home visits as needed. Analyze and adheres to the family's risks and needs based on current selection criteria and ensures confidentiality and compliance with federal regulations regarding assigning points and waitlist priority Develop strength-based Family Partnership Agreements (FPA) with all Head Start families and is capable of modification to FPAs as needed to meet changing family needs as required during duration of enrollment. Responsible for connecting families with appropriate resources according to where family is at and their ability to achieve their desired goals. and Continually monitors the referrals to determine impact ability to achieve positive family and child outcomes. Responsible for providing principles in case management to families to that support them in reaching or maintaining self-sufficiency. Provide crisis intervention to families as needed, ensuring the safety of all involved, identifying options/referrals and supporting families in making decisions. Responsible for maintaining 85% attendance in Head Start classroom through communication, support, and follow up with Head Start families. Facilitates, plans and conducts Parent Committee meetings (Parent Cafes) and creatively promotes parent participation. Collaborates with ACHS center staff, consultants, and leadership concerning the child or family to coordinate comprehensive case management while maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries. Develop and coordinate kindergarten transition plans for Head Start children and families. Participate in staff development trainings as required and takes an active role in determining growth and training needs. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.

Ability to apply and consider principles and practices of social work. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with classroom teachers, health staff, administrative staff, consultants, children, and parents at assigned centers to ensure families are receiving a quality learning and supportive experience while enrolled in Head Start Knowledge of public assistance programs, community resources, and ability to interpret and apply federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines as these pertain to role. Ability to document and communicate clearly and concisely. Ability to present and speak to partnering agencies, attend events, and outside networking opportunities that help promote Head Start Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and client documentation software (such as EMR, etc.). Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills, including the ability to work as part of a team and interact with diverse groups of people, communicate effectively both orally and in writing and receive and apply feedback Effectively implements professional development, training, and technical assistance to improve daily practices in case management. Ability to practice and implement principles using the Head Start Parent, Family, and Community Engagement Framework (PFCE) to enhance and coordinate program services for families. Experience

: Experience in social work, case management, or related field working with diverse populations in an educational setting


Education and Training

: At a minimum, a credential or certification in social work, human services, family services, counseling, or a related field. If a candidate does not have this credential, upon hire, the individual will have up to 18 months to attain this credentialing.


License or Certificate

:

o Valid Colorado Driver's License and Proof of vehicle insurance.



Background Check

: Ability to pass CBI & FBI background check, multiple background checks and Central Registry check. A Motor Vehicle record check will be conducted. A fingerprint check may be conducted.


Other

:

o Must complete physical examination and TB test upon hire.

Bilingual ability preferred (English/Spanish)
