Job Description

We are looking for farm crew members interested in organic vegetable production with a passion for growing food, flowers and pumpkins. This position is part to full-time, 40+ hrs per week. Hours will vary through the season and there can be additional hours available in the busy season. Schedule is flexible with morning/afternoon weekdays and weekends available. The position is March-November annually with potential for a longer season. Onsite housing is available. Minimum qualifications include:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs comfortably and consistently
• Ability to work long hours on your feet\xe2\x80\x94farming can be hard work.
• Enjoying working outside---we expect work to be performed outside and sometimes the weather just doesn\xe2\x80\x99t cooperate there can be mud, sleet, snow, rain, blistering heat!
• Pride in work---we expect all work to be done to the highest quality for our customers
• Enjoy working quickly---we have a lot to accomplish every day on the farm
• Strong communication skills---there is a lot of teamwork, but also a lot of complex individual tasks
• Willingness to learn---there are a lot of different, varied tasks and they all require a lot of attention to detail.
• A passion for growing food and the local food system
• Valid ID and drivers license

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience working on a farm
• Experience with power tools and tractors
• Experience with basic plumbing and construction
• Experience with farming or nursery work

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 20 \xe2\x80\x93 50 per week Benefits:
