Farm Tour Guide Associate Position Description Location: Kahuku, Hawaii We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic individual to join our farm team as a Farm Tour Guide. In this role, you will lead tours of varying group sizes through the\xe2\x80\xafmodel farm and hydroponic greenhouse, sharing\xe2\x80\xafknowledge of agriculture, local history, and culture, while ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our visitors.\xe2\x80\xafIf you have a passion for farming, and enjoy interacting with people in an outdoor environment, this may be the perfect opportunity for you. Responsibilities: Guided Farm Tours: Conduct engaging and informative tours for visitors and local residents, highlighting the unique features and stories of this farm and the local area. Tailor your presentations to the interests and needs of the guests. Education: Share insights into Hawaiian farming practices, the importance of sustainability, and the cultural significance of agriculture in Hawai\xca\xbbi. Customer Interaction: Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests, answer questions, and provide exceptional customer service throughout the tour. Safety: Ensure the safety of tour participants by adhering to all safety guidelines and protocols, especially in farm environments. Storytelling: Weave narratives that connect visitors to the land, its unique history, and the people. Product Knowledge: Stay updated on the farms\' offerings, produce, and products to effectively promote products to guests. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with fellow guides and farm staff to maintain the highest standards of visitor experience. Farm Participation: Willingness to participate in farm-related tasks during down times or tour cancellations, such as weeding and general farm maintenance as needed. Assisting with farm-related events and activities, such as workshops, festivals, and special promotions. Qualifications:

• Passion for agriculture, nature, and Hawaiian culture.
• Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.
• Knowledge of Hawaiian history, culture, and agriculture (preferred but not required).
• This position may require irregular hours, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate tour schedules.
• Valid driver\'s license and/or reliable transportation to commute to the farm location.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to work in outdoor environments including moderate humidity and periodic rainfall; able to perform physical tasks, such as lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, as well as walking, standing, and bending for extended periods of time.
