Landscape Logic, a rapidly growing and award winning Northern Michigan landscape company is looking for a qualified Fertilization Technician to join our team.
The Fertilizer Technician serves as the lead person in the field to provide plant, tree and lawn health services for our Landscape Logic clients. This person will need to be highly motivated, eager to learn new products and methods; and trouble-shoot issues in the individual landscapes.
Job Type: Seasonal
Desired Skills:
- Computer experience and aptitude to learn industry-specific software
- Calculations utilizing simple math, algorithms and chemistry
- Experience reading chemistry labels
Requirements:
- Proficient in excel and researching labels on line
- Knowledgeable of PPE and/or handling toxic chemicals and hazmat
- Certification 3A, 3B & 6
- Valid driver\'s license preferred, Chauffeurs a plus
This candidate will apply fertilizer, pesticides, and herbicides to various residential client sites. This is the perfect job for someone interested in practicing plant health care and helping make a positive change to the environment for plants, trees, etc. You should be comfortable mixing chemicals, performing lawn aeration, working independently, and interacting with customers on client sites. 2-3 years of pesticide application is preferred along with excellent communication skills, customer service, and professionalism. You will be highly visible to customers, so following instructions and attention to detail is critical.
