Job Description

The Fiberoptic Assembler is responsible for assembling and testing fiber optic components, assemblies, and devices. They ensure all parts fit correctly and are suitable for successive operations. They use their hands, computers, and machines to do the job with greater precision. They must be able to read instructions represented in manuals, drawings, schematics etc. and follow them with precision. They must work as part of a team whose focus is producing high quality finished product through collaboration and communication.

Essential Functions:

Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures Collect all material and equipment needed to begin the process Take precision measurements to ensure perfect fit of components Select or modify components according to measurements and specifications Align material and put together parts to build more complex units Check output to ensure highest quality Maintain equipment in good condition Keep records of production quantities and time Report on issues, malfunction, or defective parts Willing to take direction and work as part of a team Keep a clean, organized workstation and area Various duties related to assembly, maintenance, and safety Other duties as assigned

Skills / Qualifications:

Ability to work with precision and speed. Technical knowledge and ability to read blueprints, drawings etc. Ability in using tools (e.g., cutting) and machines (e.g., polishing) Good understanding of quality control principles end methods Good communication skills (verbal and written) Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition Good understanding of computers and software for business applications

Education & Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum 1 year of relevant experience

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
